Our Journey

How We Started

Yalmerto s.r.o. began with a simple observation: adults in their 40s and 60s wanted more from weekends. Not the usual tourist traps. Not cookie-cutter activities. They wanted something real—spaces where they could create, learn, and connect with others who valued substance over speed.

We’re based right in the heart of the Czech Republic, where old town squares still whisper stories and ceramic studios sit tucked behind historic doors. We’ve spent years building relationships with local artisans, botanists, and historians. These aren’t just service providers—they’re passionate people who genuinely want to share what they know.

What started as weekend walking tours expanded. Someone mentioned pottery. Then someone else talked about evening cinema under the stars. The botanical gardens opened their gates to us. Now we run a full calendar of experiences, each one designed with the same principle: authenticity. No shortcuts. No pretense. Just genuine leisure that feeds your mind and hands.

What We Offer

Yalmerto s.r.o. runs four core programs throughout the year. Each one’s designed to scratch a different creative or exploratory itch.

Guided Old Town Walking Tours

We’re not rushing you through a list of landmarks. Our walking tours move slowly, deliberately. You’ll discover hidden courtyards, meet local historians, hear stories that don’t make it into guidebooks. Tours run Saturday mornings, typically 3-4 hours, and we keep groups small—never more than 12 people.

Outdoor Cinema Screenings

Summer evenings, selected venues across the region, classic and contemporary films. We’ve got blankets, we’ve got snacks, we’ve got the kind of setup where you can actually breathe and enjoy a movie. It’s screening season from June through August, typically Friday or Saturday nights depending on location.

Ceramics and Pottery Classes

Hands-on instruction from experienced potters. We offer both single sessions and multi-week programs. You’ll work with clay, get dirty, probably laugh at your first attempts, and end up genuinely proud of what you’ve made. Classes run year-round, ranging from beginner to intermediate levels.

Botanical Garden Excursions

Seasonal exploration of regional botanical gardens with expert guides. You’ll learn about native plants, medicinal herbs, garden design principles, and the ecology of the Czech landscape. Spring and autumn are peak seasons, but there’s always something growing worth seeing.
